When you compare rent and general living costs, Suleja is far cheaper than Abuja city areas. When comparing Suleja with other Abuja border towns like Mararaba, I personally prefer Suleja. It is not as crowded, and to some extent, it feels safer. While every busy town has its challenges, Suleja generally maintains a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the intense congestion seen in some neighboring communities.
Even after I moved out of Suleja in 2015, I still find reasons to return. One of them is to buy fresh natural fish, which is often bigger, more natural, and more affordable than what you may find inside Abuja city. Experiences like this keep my connection to Suleja alive, reminding me of its simplicity and local charm.
